HA! Sorry about my last post! I meant to type a whole post about my sweet little boy turning 4 but I accidentally pressed something and it just posted my title! And of course when I went to fix it someone started crying and I was needed elsewhere!
- Max's 4th birthday was great! I just can't believe how big my little man is getting.
- Life has been good but BUSY! I don't really love being busy but am learning to deal with it better. I started reading "Having a Mary Heart in a Martha World" for the second time this week. The first time I read it I enjoyed it but I wasn't in a very busy season in life so I don't think I appreciated it as much. Now that I am in an extremely busy season I am really enjoying it... and underlining just about every other sentence! I really want to find joy, peace, and purpose even in business.
- This past weekend we made a little day trip to Mountain Grove to visit Nick's grandparents, parents and sister. The drive there was wonderful. The kids were perfect and the changing colors on the trees made it just a perfect morning drive. The way home after a very long day was miserable! Nick and I were SO tired! But, I am still glad we got to go. Nick's grandparents got to meet Jack for the first time and they got some great one on one time with the kids which they have never really had before because we always see them when lots of other people are around. I also got to chat quite a bit with Nick's younger sister which was super fun. I have always really liked Kate but it is neat to chat with her adult to adult as she has gotten older!
- Max and Sophie are at Mom's Day Out today which is nice. Part of me feels bad because I should use Monday's to do housework and catch up on things but I tend to spend them reading, checking e-mail and blogs, lounging with Jack, and watching TV. Ha! But, I am finding that then the rest of the week I have so much more energy and am really giving my best to my kids so maybe the "mental health" day is really benefiting everyone!
- I think we might go to Culver's for dinner tonight because I miss my sister and she is working tonight!
- I am almost 7 weeks soda free and am quite proud of myself
Well, I guess that is about all for now. Happy Monday everyone!
