Friday

My doctor's appointment on Tuesday went well! It was so fun to see little Jack in 3-D! He is such a cutie! My amniotic fluid was a little low so my current challenge is to drink lots of water. Not an easy task for me because I am not a good water drinker... but it is good incentive! We are so excited for him to get here. Although, my doctor thinks it will still be a few weeks.

I am definitely in that cranky pregnancy stage! I am very tired and uncomfortable! I am so thankful for my good friends here that are just letting me be cranky! I never realized what a blessing it is to not have people trying to cheer you up but just saying, "yeah, that stinks!". I feel very loved right now! Ha!

I am not sure what is on today's agenda! Going anywhere sounds like a ton of work! But, the kiddos and I are getting a little bored just hanging out at home. So, we will see! At this point I like to play everything by ear!

I hope everyone has a good day and weekend! I will try!

5:30 A.M.

So, it is 5:30 in the morning and I just can't sleep. Yesterday I just didn't feel quite right all day. Lots of back pain and I was just so sore! When I woke up this morning at 5:15 to go to the bathroom I just didn't feel like laying back down in bed and being uncomfortable so I am up! I swear this baby weighs 9 pounds already (okay, not likely since both of my babies were pretty normal size... even Miss 1 Week Late). But, every move he makes these days is so painful so I am attempting to just "make it" one day at a time!

Today I have a doctor's appointment and they are going to do an ultrasound so I ams super excited to see my little Jack Man! Hopefully they will print out a few pictures for me and I can post them on here!

I hope everyone has a good day!

P.S. My little "gem" from my quiet time this morning is Psalm 116:7, "Be at rest once more, O my soul. For the Lord has been good to you." I love that the condition of our souls doesn't have to have anything to do with our present circumstances but our soul's can always be at rest because our hope is in Christ!

Favorite Bible verses

Today at Kelly's Korner everyone is sharing their favorite Bible verses! I wanted to join in because I have a lot of verses that mean a lot to me right now!

Three of my personal favorites that I use most in my own life are:
2 Peter 1:3 (I especially love the NLT translation of it)
"By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence."
This verse is my most recent favorite. It totally changed the way I parent my children and live my life. I was always quick to go to parenting books when I had a problem or issue with my kids and while I still LOVE parenting books I fist turn to God for wisdom in a situation because He will give me everything I need. And who knows my kid's hearts better than their creator? I love it!

Deuteronomy 6:5-9
"Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Tie them as symbols on your hands bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates. "

This is another verse that really impacts me as a mom. The importance of impressing the truth's of God on my children's hearts is so important and I love that this verse gives us the "how". I have spent hours worrying how to really pass on my faith to our children and this puts it out there!

Phillipians 4:4-7 (NIV)
"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus."
And this is my verse that I NEED everyday! I need to remember to rejoice and be gentle! Two things which don't always come naturally to me!

And then I have "life verses" that I pray for each of my children. These verses are special to me because I feel like God laid them on my heart specifically for them!

The verse I often pray for Max is
Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
I know that God has big plans for Max P. Ramsey and I just pray that he will grow to know Jesus as Lord and be able to have the hope and future that God has for him!

Sophie's is
Psalm 37:4
"Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Since as of right now Sophie is my only little girl I love this verse for her because I feel like the essence of being a little girl is having a heart full of desires for your future. I just pray that she will delight herself in Jesus so that she can have the desires of her heart fulfilled!

and Jack's is
Zephaniah 3:17
"The LORD your God is with you, he is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, he will quiet you with his love, he will rejoice over you with singing."
Jack is my first child that has had a "life verse" from me before he was even born. But, this verse was on a website I was looking at one day and immediately our sweet boy who I haven't even seen yet came to mind with this one. Even though he isn't in our arms physically yet I know that God is already in love with him and rejoicing over him. I pray that he will feel that throughout his life!

4th of July Weekend is here!

I am SO excited because the 4th of July weekend is FINALLY here! I have been WAITING for this weekend! We have been super busy lately and I have just felt like we were in desperate need for some extended family time. Especially since we weren't able to take a family trip at all this year. So, since Nick already has Monday off of work he went ahead and took Tuesday off too so we could just soak in the togetherness! Ha!

Last night we went over to Grandma June's and had DELICIOUS Chinese take-out with her and my sister and Simon. We had a really great time and stayed way later than I intended. Sophie girl was cracking me up with how much she just loves her Grandma June. She is just all over the poor woman all the time! I don't think Grandma June minds too much... :-) Then when we got home Nick and I went ahead and started painting the kitchen. The color has been driving me crazy! So, it is one of the big projects I wanted to get done before our new little man gets here. I will post pics later!

I am thinking after we paint we might hit the pool for awhile and then tonight we are headed over to some friends house for dinner! I am really looking forward to it!

Tomorrow I think we will go to church, come home and veg out for awhile and then head out to Mom and Dad's for the big 4th of July celebration out there. Not sure how long we will stay... I think we will play it by ear! Some times the kids do great staying out late and other times anything past 7 is pushing towards disaster! Gotta love little kids!

Monday I think we will do Monkey Joe's in the morning and then kids eat free at Qdoba so maybe we will do that for lunch. Then for Tuesday I am defintily thinking zoo! It is going to be a GREAT weekend!

I am just a terrible blogger lately! I think of things to blog about all of the time but never take the time to sit and do it!

We have been busy little bees around here lately but it has been good! Nick and I seem to be cramming in all of the fun dates we can before the Jackster gets here. In the past few weeks we have been to a Toby Mac/Chris Tomlin concert, the Fox to see Wicked and tomorrow night we are headed to the Muny to see Beauty and the Beast. My parents have been SO awesome about watching the kids and the kids are loving all of their Grandpa and Grandma time!

I am also super excited because this weekend I get to go to the Beth Moore conference. I LOVE Beth Moore. She is like the ultimate celebrity to me and I am just so excited to see her in person and soak up every work she has to say. I have no doubt in my mind that if she and I knew each other in real life we would get along fabulously!

To make up for all of our crazy business lately the kids and I have spend the last several days at home vegging and playing. It has been nice! We are also watching the progress on our new deck that is being built! The worker guys started on Monday and are making awesome progress! We should have a new deck by this weekend! I will post pictures when it is complete!

This past weekend wrapped up our "Fixable" series at our church. It was 11 weeks on the life of Joseph and it was PHENOMENAL! Absolutely the best sermon series I have ever had the opportunity to hear. Most of the sermons focused on hard family issues, forgiveness, etc. Nick and I have both learned SO much and have had so many amazing discussions. I really feel like this sermon series changed our lives in many ways. I think Nick and I both have so much peace after this series and I am excited to see how our future is transformed because of it. I am so thankful for our pastor and his wisdom. And I am so grateful that God met us in a big way right where we were at! (Much of what we learned and discussed in this series was a HUGE answer to my bold prayer challenge to myself!)

I thought I would end this post with my new favorite picture of my three favorite people (can't wait until I can add one more little guy to this crazy bunch!)

My Day Off

My wonderful mother offered to give me a day off this week! So, on Wednesday I dropped my kiddos off at her house at 9am and got to have the whole day kid free! It was wonderful!

My first stop was St. Louis Bread Co. where I got a cup of coffee and got to have some beautiful uninterrupted quiet time. I sat with my Bible and prayer list and just soaked it all in. It was wonderful!

Then I headed to Clayton to have lunch with my husband! He took me to a resteraunt I had never been to before and when I got there he suprised me with tickets to the Toby Mac/Chris Tomlin concert next week! I was stoked! We had so much fun chatting and enjoying each other. Then we walked down the street to Starbucks and got a cup of coffee before Nick needed to head back to work.

Then I got to come home and take an afternoon nap before heading out to pick up the kids. It was a perfectly lovely day! It was so relaxing and the quality time with my husband was priceless!

I am always amazed at how giving and loving my family is. They are so willing to help us out when we need it and even when we don't ask. They truly teach me what it is to serve and love and I just hope I can pass that on to my children as well. I look forward to the day I am able to suprise my daughter and daughters-in-law with days off too!

Completing Him Summer Challenge 2010

I am so excited to be participating in the "Completing Him Challenge" over at Women Living Well with Courtney. (I am having some technical difficulties at the moment so I haven't been able to add the button and my links are acting strange!)

Here is the link to Courtney's challenge, http://womenlivingwell-courtney.blogspot.com/search/label/Marriage%20Challenge

Here is Courtney's video explaning the challenge:

I am so excited about this challenge because I love my husband and I really love challenging myself to be the best wife I can be. I know my husband works hard to be the best husband he can be!
